UPP Studios is proud to present, another ultra-short new media sketch comedy video, entitled “Angry Texting.” With time comes experience, and with experience comes wisdom. After having now filmed over 110 sketches, there is much that we have learned. One important lesson for us, was the importance of seemingly minute details. Many of these details deal with sound cues. Sound is a very powerful tool. It has the ability to bring someone deeper into a video, allowing them to feel immersed in the world being presented to them. The less separation between the viewer and the medium the better. The ultimate goal is to create a world that allows the viewer to forget that he or she is suspending their disbelief. This sketch was funny to us in concept alone at first. Once it was up on it’s feet, we realized all of the opportunity for sound cues, that would exponentially enhance the comedic factor.
